Crown Lynn Yards, the second stage of our New Lynn project, had some great progress in March.
Resource consent and the EPA have been granted (this is a big deal for us) and building consent lodgements have commenced.
Civil and underground works have started – construction of underground services are underway and the first platforms for terraces almost
complete. It is important that we get these works finished before the winter rain sets in.
It won’t be too long before construction is really visible on the site.
The Selwyn district continues to go from strength to strength with the recent announcement that an $85 million shopping centre will be built in Rolleston, with new eateries, cinema and a farmers market all set to further boost the rapidly growing town on Christchurch's doorstep. The district council expects 24,000 people to be in Rolleston – the district’s biggest town – by the year 2040. We are pleased to be contributing to that growth.
The final 2 blocks in stage 1, C and D, are almost complete, despite the challenges of lockdown. We are looking forward to seeing these residents settled into their new homes.
Depending on the block, there are some minor internal works to complete before landscaping and commercial cleaning can be finished.
For health and safety reasons, final inspections will be scheduled by invitation with settlement expected in the second quarter of 2021.
